A few years ago, I created a Jeopardy! look-alike game in VB6. As the TV series uses three contestants, so does my program. I used three keyboards and had each 'contestant' assigned a different key to 'buzz in' (Shift, Space and Ctrl).
What I would LIKE, however, is to allow each person to use the Space Bar (easy to locate quickly).
IF I could find the serial number of each of the keyboards, I could possibly then determine which space bar was selected first (?????).
Is it possible to, 1, find the serial number of A keyboard, and if so, is it possible to find the serial numbers of multiple keyboards?
I am using Win7 OS, Visual Basic 6
If NOT, are there some hardware options, like three different USB entry devices available anywhere, like a 'button' device? AND, if so, it it possible to determine which USB Port each might be attached to (same could go for three keyboards, I suppose, and instead of identifying by serial number, use the USB PORT's serial/identification number instead---possible?)?
