Have a program login into gmail and send out emails?

Hi there, I make educational software in good old VB6, and I have received a number of responses from near by teachers to send out invites to try the software for other schools far away.

I know I could login to gmail and send the invites out 1 by 1, but for the sake of saying it could be done, I would like to have VB6 do it.

I have a excel spreadsheet with a list of emails in 1 column. I can get VB to open Internet Explorer and go to the gmail login page, but the part that loses me is where the program will login for me.

Can Vb6 do that? I can't figure that out at all!
