VB6 - Flickering and wake effets on mapcontrol

I need to put a picture (group of lines, arcs, texts) in a form that contains a mapcontrol.
The pictures is attached under the cursor and no button of mouse is pushed.
When I push the left button of mouse, the picture is placed.

But, for some pictures, when I move the mouse, the picture flickers and leaves traces (wake effect).

How can I avoid these effects? I need to see just the picture under the cursor.
